About the Role As Manager, Human Resources, you’ll play a key role in leading core HR functions across the organization. Reporting directly to the Director of Human Resources, you will oversee recruitment efforts, lead recruitment files, coordinate short-term and long-term disability programs, manage various HR projects, and assist with reporting. You will also provide leadership and coaching to direct reports, while serving as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders on workplace matters that contribute to a respectful, inclusive, and high-performing culture. This role is ideal for someone who leads with empathy and builds trust through action. You’ll help shape the future of HR at Johnston Group by ensuring operational excellence and fostering a culture of care through thoughtful guidance and proactive HR practices. *Hybrid working model based out of our Winnipeg, MB office 4 days in-office per week. What you’ll bring Proven experience in a Human Resources role with a strong foundation in HR operations Experience leading full-cycle recruitment and talent acquisition strategies Expertise in coordinating short-term and long-term disability programs People leadership experience, including coaching and developing direct reports A collaborative mindset and ability to build trusted relationships across departments A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, influence stakeholders, and foster collaboration across all levels of the organization Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities A commitment to creating a positive and inclusive workplace culture A collaborative mindset and ability to work with leaders and subject matter experts Qualifications Post-secondary education in Human Resources, with a CHRP or equivalent designation 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in Human Resources, with a strong foundation in HR operations across areas such as recruitment, disability management, and policy development Minimum 3 years of experience leading and coaching teams, with a demonstrated ability to build trust, develop talent, and foster accountability Experience managing HR initiatives and projects that drive operational and cultural improvements Comfort working in environments where processes are evolving with a mindset for identifying opportunities, streamlining workflows, and supporting the adoption of new tools and approaches Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices Exceptional attention to detail and ability to prioritize work based on business demands Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment Excellent time management and organizational skills Outstanding verbal and written communication skills Strong project management skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task and deliver results #J-18808-Ljbffr
