2We are the REMAX office in East Van. We are looking for a full-time or part time bookkeeper and or office administrator to work in our Vancouver location. We use Quickbooks so you must be familiar with Quickbooks. The bookkeeping part of this job is quite easy as you simply post receipts and expenses. You would also pay bills and do other tasks related to finances in the office. Depending on your skill level you could do all the office bookkeeping/accounting or do the basic work of a bookkeeper and do some office admin work. If you did the office admin job it would be a mix between people and paperwork. You will be doing lots of paperwork to help the office run well, and support the 250 agents, but technically you do not touch any papers, because we are a 100% paperless office Everything is done online You must be able to think on your feet and be able to do a multitude of tasks reliably and accurately. You must be comfortable working in a paperless environment and using the computer. You would receive phone calls, but that would only be 10% of your job

We do not necessarily need experience for the admin part of the job, as we can train you, but we are looking for someone very friendly, who knows the computer well, and can accurately do the paperwork and general admin tasks of the office, plus speaks English well (Mandarin is a bonus)

We have several criteria that we require of you;
1) you must know the basics of Quickbooks.

be a very good typist. We expect 55 wpm or faster, we will test you, so make sure you can type please.

2) you must speak fluent English, some of this job requires talking to the agents who work in our office, so fluent English is very important, Mandarin is a bonus

3) you must be familiar with the computer, by this we mean, you know computer programs, MSWord, Excel, etc, we will test you

4) you must be comfortable working as a part of a team, each office has only 2 or 3 staff including yourself, but you will be in frequent communication with the other 6 staff in our other offices. We have offices in Vancouver, Gibsons and Ladner.
