**Minimum Starting Salary**:$77,741; starting salaries are determined based on qualifications and years of related experience.
**About the Barrett Centre for Technology Innovation at Humber**:
The Barrett Centre for Technology Innovation is a new facility built to inspire innovation through collaboration and is part of Humber’s Centre of Innovation network. We bring together industry, students and faculty to solve real world challenges and promote science, technology, engineering, art and math outreach with industry and community partners. We work closely with all faculties across Humber to provide the resources they require to complete capstone, applied research projects, experiential Learning activities and support skills development. **About the Role**:
The Project Coordinator will report to the Project Manager, of the Barrett Centre for Technology Innovation. The center is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented **Project Coordinator** to support and manage a portfolio of applied research, student capstone projects, Industry events and technical training in advanced manufacturing and digital transformation. This role is integral to the successful delivery of collaborative initiatives involving industry partners, faculty, researchers, and students. The Project Coordinator will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic innovation goals. In addition, duties include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate multiple concurrent applied research and capstone projects, from initiation through completion.
- Collaborate with faculty leads, student teams, and external partners to define project scopes, deliverables, and timelines.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation including charters, scopes of work, design plan and requirements documents, schedules, weekly plans, budgets, risk logs, and reports.
- Track project progress and ensure milestones are met, adjusting plans as needed to address risks or delays.
- Facilitate regular project meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders.
- Serve as a key liaison between internal stakeholders (faculty, students, administration) and external collaborators (industry partners, funding agencies)
- Work with key team members to oversee and update procurement lists tied to Bills of Materials (BOMs) for technology build projects
- Support partnership development by coordinating meetings, preparing presentation materials, and contributing to proposals.
- Coordinate project procurement, scheduling, and logistics, including booking resources, facilities, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies, research ethics, and contractual obligations.
- Compile project summaries, final reports, and impact assessments.
- Work closely with academic departments to align capstone projects with industry needs and research priorities.
- Assist in the matching of student teams to suitable projects and mentors.
- Monitor project progress, providing coordination support and troubleshooting as needed.

**Education**
- A Bachelor’s degree in, Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Business Engineering or equivalent.
- PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification is considered an asset.
**Experience/Skills**
- 3-5 years proven experience working in a technology-oriented environment
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced technology-oriented environment
