Description

The Human Resources Manager guides the overall progressive discipline process, assists with Policy and Procedures, best practices in Human Resources, and ensuring the health and safety of all employees. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing personnel management, including wage increases, benefit processing, and disciplinary actions in compliance with Excel’s policies and operational procedures.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responding to all employee relation issues and ensuring all Employment Standards and Human Rights Regulations are adhered to.
- Make timely and informed decisions that consider facts, goals, constraints, risk, Excel Society Values, and the Excel Advantage.
- Managing benefit processing for illness, injury, and/or long-term claims.
- Respond to employees, with consultation of supervisor, regarding any modified duties.
- Reconciling payroll deductions for benefit coverage and payments to benefits provider in conjunction with HR Generalist.
- Monitors and advises managers and supervisors in the progressive discipline process.
- Assisting with filing, maintaining, and updating personnel files and ensuring confidentiality at all times.
- Maintaining all statistics and data received from other employees within Human Resources database.
- Conduct workplace investigations, and resolve any conflicts that arise among staff in the department.
- Handle employee complaints and incidents, including conflict resolution, accidents, health and safety concerns, work refusals, and investigations.
- Provide leadership and coaching to managers and employees on key workplace matters such as performance management, difficult conversations, employee relations, and employee development.

**Requirements**:

- Relevant Bachelor's degree.
- 5+ years' experience in Human Resources and 3 years of management experience.
- Experience working with SAP and/or UKG.
- Knowledge of Employment Standards, Human Rights, Occupational Health and Safety, and Employment Law.
- Strong organizational, critical thinking, problem solving, time management, and communications skills.
- Attention to detail and good judgment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.

**Eligible for hybrid work.**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

- Bachelor's Degree (required)

**Experience**:

- Human resources: 5 years (preferred)
