We are looking for an
**Orders specialist** to join our team

Primary Responsibilities:

- Order processing, order entry into LN (ERP system), which includes price verification, and proper coding to ensure all order requirements are met
- Manage and communicate order changes
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries
- Develops and maintains close working relationships with customers, staff and Velan manufacturing plants
- Manage and expedite order progress with the various departments, Production Planning, Engineering and Quality Assurance
- Become familiar with the Velan’s complete line of Multi-Turn and Quarter-Turn valve offerings
- Review, evaluate and clarify customer inquiries and technical specifications
- Able to meet deadlines and work on numerous inquiries at the same time
- Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers
- Keep records of customer interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints
- Communicate and coordinate with colleagues as necessary
- Provide feedback on the efficiency of the customer service process
- Ensure customer satisfaction and provide professional customer support

If you have:

- College degree in Engineering or Commerce. Preferred, not essential
- Cegep: Technologist/Technician
- Experience in reviewing engineering specifications
- Some knowledge of valve selection and ASME codes is desirable
- Previous experience with selection of mechanical equipment such as pumps, heat exchangers, compressors, pipes and fittings, etc.
- Some experience in inside sales or customer service in industrial products
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel)
- Fluency in French and English (oral and written)
- Fluency in another language (Spanish,mandatrin), an asset
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients within and outside the company
- Ability to respond well to changing priorities and deadlines
- Familiarity with valves, piping and instrumentation, an asset
