CPA Ontario is currently in search of a **Human Resources Analyst** who will be responsible for supporting the Human Resources department’s systems, reporting and analytics. As the Human Resources Analyst, you will also maintain and support a variety of existing reports and queries and be tasked with building new reports using appropriate reporting systems and tools designed to support and inform senior leaders on people-related matters and decisions.
**What You’ll Be Doing**:
**Leading the development, reporting, and review of HR metrics and insights** by developing standard monthly, quarterly and fiscal year-end HR reports and creating ad hoc reports as required.
**Partnering with Finance on month end and year end deadlines**, initiating regular audits of payroll, benefits, pension, and other HR data while providing ongoing recommendations and highlighting corrective measures that may be required.
**Providing input into the budget and forecast process** **for people costs** including analysis of data and identification of risks and opportunities.
**Processing of invoices, recording financial transactions**, preparing reconciliations and maintaining records.
**Acting as the first point of contact for representation and participation in external HR surveys** including compensation, workforce changes and more.
**Who You Are**:
A post-secondary graduate preferably in human resources with a minimum 3 years of progressive experience in a Human Resources Analyst role or HRIS Specialist function, with demonstrated experience completing HR reporting and analysis.
Experienced with processing transactions in an HRIS (ADP Workforce Now would be an asset)
Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams and an expert with advanced Microsoft Excel functions and data manipulation techniques, including but not limited to, vlookups, pivot tables, arrays, formulas, and macros.
Able to demonstrate superior analytical skills with excellent attention to accuracy and detail while working with ambiguity in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment with last-minute changes in plans.
Experienced at extracting data, creating queries, developing complex reports and providing detailed analysis.
Familiar with balancing of accounts, completing reconciliations and monthly accounting records; experience with accounts payables is strongly preferred.
Up to date with the latest technologies in reporting and data tracking techniques and able to share information freely.
Able to work independently while appreciating the value of working as part a team and collaborating with others across multiple departments.
