Contract, Human Resources Analyst

**WORK ILLUSTRATION**:
The incumbent is expected to behave ethically and follow the established code of business conduct, policies and internal control procedures, laws and regulations governing Toronto Hydro.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Manage system incidents, problems and requests to support existing systems functions and business processes
- Test and troubleshoot root causes and make recommendations to resolve issues
- Perform HR system operational activities, and document procedures and create job aids
- Identify system and process improvement opportunities and implement enhancements
- Support project implementation and perform activities such as requirement and process documentation, test cases and test data preparation, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Reporting analysis including data analytics for KPIs and business operations
- Support development of business cases for new Human Resources, Environment and Safety (HRE&S) initiatives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with appropriate HRE&S & IT staff
- Support audit inquires and resolve employee questions
- Keep abreast of developments in software and hardware technologies
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Information Management or Computer Science or related discipline.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (conditional formatting, pivot tables, advanced charts and graphs).
- Demonstrated knowledge of Human Resources programs, systems and processes with a good understanding of project management practices.
- Working towards CHRP/CHRL (Certified Human Resources Professional or Certified Human Resources Leader) considered an asset.
- Experience working with a complex unionized payroll and experience in the interpretation of collective agreements.
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of data analysis and gathering relevant information systematically.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience preparing and presenting reports, performing calculations with large amounts of data and succinctly summarizing data and messaging strongly preferred.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Toronto Hydro has introduced a Hybrid Work Arrangement. This position allows for remote work up to three days per week, based on business needs. Employees will be required to come onsite on those days when they are involved in activities that they or their leader feel are better conducted in person. You are expected to live in Ontario and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.
