- Have a working knowledge of Alberta Employment Standards and other employment laws
- Experience working in an HR role in a unionized workplace and have experience with Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs) and union-management preferably working with AUPE.
- Experience with Dayforce is not required but preferred
- You will have a working knowledge of Alberta payroll laws and regulations.
- Possess a bachelor’s degree in human resources management or other related fields
- Have at least three years experience in the role of a human resource, with duties that included high-volume staffing and recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and worker’s compensation administration in a return-to-work environment
- Understand the importance of maintaining a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism
- Be able to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, staff members, and visitors

**Duties for this position will include, but are not limited to**:

- Managing the full-cycle recruitment process for all open positions
- Coordinating and conducting a thorough orientation for new team members
- Tracking all benefits and employment status changes
- Conducting management training
- Managing WCB and employment insurance claims
- Active, ongoing recruitment of employees through job boards, social media, and professional networking to fill open positions
