**About Us**:Brain Care Centre (BCC) exists to give those impacted by acquired brain injury the supports they need to overcome limitations, reconnect, rebuild, and thrive in the community. BCC is a registered charitable not-for-profit organization and serves the spectrum of brain injury from mild to severe.
**Role**:Reporting to the HR and Volunteer Program Manager, the Program Assistant provides support to BCC service providers in the coordination of services to adults living with acquired brain injury to promote independence, facilitate community reintegration, and improve quality of life.
**Qualifications**:
- Certification: Related degree
- Experience: Human service work
- Up-to-date, clear, criminal record check
- Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle with 2 million liability insurance

**Major Responsibilities**:
Provide assistance to Brain Care Centre’s Service Coordinators:
- Conduct follow-up on client goals and service plans
- Prepare for support groups and assist with group facilitation as required
- Coordinate Life Skill Classes including content revision, document prep, and facilitation
- Deliver Facebook Live tutorials on topics of interest to BCC clients
- Support Service Coordinators with completion of quarterly and annual reports by established deadlines
- Assist with referrals as needed for BCC support services and other community resources in a timely manner
Actively promote education and information about living with acquired brain injury to clients, their families, community service providers, special-interest groups, and the general public.
- Provide brain injury education to clients and their support networks
- Provide educational sessions on various topics to a diverse audience; this is currently being done through BCC’s Facebook page as a Facebook Live event
- Act as a representative of BCC at public events or forums as required
**Other Job Expectations**:
- Serve on various committees as required
- Use database to record client service plans, community contacts, other relevant information, and complete progress reports
- Conduct all day to day activities in accordance with BCC’s Mission, Vision and Values, BCC Code of Conduct, and BCC’s Personnel Policies and Procedures
- Adhere to high standards of ethical practice and confidentiality
- Participate as a professional, positive and supportive team member
- Any other duties as required
**Position Detail**:
- 0.5 Full-Time Equivalent
- Wage: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
