As NAIT continues to grow its student body and lead the way in hands-on learning, we are recruiting skilled and passionate individuals to help inspire and train current and future industry professionals and become part of Canada’s leading polytechnic. The Program Assistant is often the first point of contact for prospective and returning students in the program. The Program Assistant responds to inquiries from students including admission requirements, course offerings, pre-requisites, enrolment procedures, tuition and program fees, academic and student service information, and is responsible for specific tasks within these areas.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare office correspondence and data reports using Microsoft Office Suite, electronic mail system, and/or to program-specific software.
- Assist the program and the school in coordinating and completing projects.
- Provide direct support for students, including responding to inquiries and connecting them to appropriate resources.
- Provide administrative support for assigned programs and the school.
- Coordinated logistics, prepared materials, and provided clerical support for school and program specific meetings/events.
- Manage and maintain program records (electronic and paper)
- Create, review, and revise program materials; prepare reports and documents as requested.
- Support student selection and enrolment management strategies using Campus Solutions
- Assist with annual tasks for compliance requirements for program accreditation.
- Maintain office equipment (printers and photocopier)
- Perform general office and front desk duties, including reception and administrative tasks.
- Carry out other school and program-related responsibilities as assigned.

- Strong Organizational Skills: Exhibit effective time management, prioritization, attention to detail, and organizational skills. Advanced Microsoft Office Suite product knowledge is required.
- Effective Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate the ability to analyze and solve complex challenges.

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of Grade Twelve.
- Certificate or Diploma in Business or Office Administration or other related discipline.
- Several years of related experience.
- Experience in an administrative role.
- Experience with PeopleSoft would be an asset.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services or the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).

**Remuneration**: $44,256.94 - $57,140.72 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package. (Classification - Administrative Support IV).

This position is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement
