**Major Responsibilities**:

- Oversees all aspects related to the end-to-end development and delivery of educational and training programs, including program and event logistics, financial planning, and management and business models
- Provides leadership related to the interpretation of cultural and natural heritage features within TRCA facilities, greenspaces, and local natural and human systems.
- Oversees the inventory and purchasing of program supplies and equipment and coordinates daily sales of items made during program delivery when relevant. Leads the procurement process.
- Builds and maintains relationships with various industry partners with a focus on growing programs and community engagement opportunities, including diverse revenue streams and volunteer opportunities as appropriate
- Meets with internal and external stakeholders as required for project specific collaboration
- Oversees the coordination of information and data for grant proposals and related metrics
- Prepares and manages budget and timeline and develops strategies to mitigate any variances to the project plan
- Leads a team of staff and ensures that team members understand expectations; communicates schedule, tasks and discusses priorities of items
- Supports onboarding and provides on the job training and support as needed for individuals; also identifies any gaps in or potential improvement areas for training, development, process, resources, or procedures
- Ensures staff/volunteers/contractors, as applicable, comply with health & safety policies, and other TRCA policies, as applicable in various work environments, while leading incident investigation and mitigation process

**What will you need to succeed**:
Education (degree/diploma/certifications/licenses)
- Post-secondary diploma or degree Environmental Science, Education, Communications

Experience
- 4+ years of experience in Communications, Community Engagement and Outreach, Outdoor, Environmental or Museum Education
- 1+ years of progressive managerial, supervisory or project management experience

Knowledge/Skill/Ability - Competencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate project status for various audiences and prepare reports and proposal writing
- Knowledge of procurement practices, project management and risk management concepts
- Able to self-manage workload and prioritize tasks as an ongoing challenge in a frequently fluctuating workload and multiple deadlines
- Strong budget management and cost control skills; able to address variances and manage ongoing risks while managing multiple deadlines / work processes
- Demonstrated ability to solicit internal and external customer feedback in order to improve business relationships
- Forms strategic relationships with other organizations to improve the customer experience
- Effective problem-solving skills and leadership skills, including staff coaching and managing performance and working collaboratively with other divisions
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act, related Regulations and legislation
