Job Summary

We are seeking a full-time Construction Project Manager to oversee our construction projects from start to finish. This role involves organizing and supervising construction management processes to ensure timely and efficient project completion. A successful candidate must have expertise in all construction methodologies and procedures, as well as the ability to coordinate a team of professionals to achieve optimal results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-construction planning, tendering, and scope development assistance.
  • Issuing subcontracts and purchase orders.
  • Planning and managing daily on-site construction activities, including project coordination, scheduling, material requisitioning, and cost control.
  • Maintaining project financial status through effective cost reporting and tracking, including change management.
  • Supervising direct labor and subcontractors to meet schedule milestones.
  • Recognizing key issues and addressing them promptly to expedite solutions.
  • Representing the organization professionally when interacting with clients and consultants.
  • Planning and maintaining project schedules to ensure adherence to deadlines.
  • Conducting regular project meetings with clients and project personnel.
  • Utilizing technology to optimize productivity and efficiency.
  • Providing budgeting and proposal development assistance for construction projects throughout Atlantic Canada.

Requirements

  • Civil or Mechanical engineering background required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working as a project manager in general contracting or construction management.
  • Industrial project management experience is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, project cost control software, and project management software is required.
