Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to join our team at FCC Construction. This role will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities

  • Pre-construction planning, including scope development and tendering assistance.
  • Issuing subcontracts and purchase orders.
  • Planning and managing on-site construction activities, including project coordination, scheduling, material requisitioning, and cost control.
  • Maintaining project financial status through effective cost reporting and tracking.
  • Assisting project superintendents with supervision and coordination of direct labour and subcontractors.
  • Recognizing key issues and acting in a timely manner to expedite solutions.
  • Representing the organization in a professional manner when interacting with clients and consultants.
  • Planning and maintaining project schedules to ensure timely delivery.
  • Conducting regular project meetings with clients and project personnel.
  • Utilizing technology to optimize productivity and efficiency.
  • Assisting the internal estimating department with budgeting and proposal development.

Requirements

  • Civil or Mechanical engineering background required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working as a project manager in the general contracting or construction management sector.
  • Industrial project management experience is considered an asset.
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Project, project cost control software, and project management software is required.
  • BIM and 3D model experience is considered an asset.
