Job Summary

This position is responsible for ensuring the successful completion of construction projects, working closely with external and internal stakeholders to deliver results within budget and defined scope. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, effective communication, and the ability to motivate professionals from diverse disciplines.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the office and field teams to ensure alignment and efficient project execution.
  • Communicate regularly with the field to assess progress, discuss issues, and implement solutions.
  • Create erection sequences, load lists, and coordinate shipping with other project coordinators, administrators, and shipping subcontractors.
  • Generate and submit daily field work reports, summarizing work activities and creating field variance reports as needed.
  • Coordinate equipment requirements, create crane plans, and procure equipment as required.
  • Review budgets and job cost reports to ensure accurate cost allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and paperwork, including safety, erection, and testing protocols.
  • Coordinate scheduling, on-site requirements, and material procurement for the internal erection crew.
  • Effectively communicate project requirements with customers, on-site representatives, and other internal departments.
  • Visit job sites in the Maritimes to evaluate progress and check-in with the team, as directed by the Contracts Manager.
  • Support the PM team as needed, when site-related work is not required, as directed by the Contracts Manager.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education with an engineering or technical background is an asset.
  • 3-5 years of experience in project management is considered a definite asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
  • Ability to spend extended hours in the field is necessary.
  • Experience reading drawings is an asset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment is essential.
