Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Construction Labourer to join our team at Arthur Sivret et Fils Ltee. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting tradespeople with various construction tasks, working under the direction of site supervisors.

Salary & Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $50,000 and $65,000 depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.

About the Role

As a Construction Labourer, you will be working outdoors on construction sites, often at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty environments. You will be required to load, unload, and transport construction materials, mix, pour, and spread concrete and asphalt, and assist tradespeople as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Loading and unloading construction materials
  • Erecting and dismantling scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • Mixing, pouring, and spreading concrete and asphalt
  • Leveling earth to fine grade specifications
  • Cleaning and piling salvaged materials
  • Cleaning up chemical spills and other contaminants
  • Tending or feeding machines or equipment used in construction
  • Assisting tradespeople, apprentices, and other workers as directed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in construction an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and in physically demanding conditions
  • Manual dexterity and ability to handle heavy loads
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
