Tile Setter

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at Trusser Construction. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tiles in various settings, including residential and commercial buildings.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare surfaces for tile installation, including measuring, cutting, and marking.
- Mix and apply adhesives, mortars, and grouts to ensure a strong and durable bond.
- Set tiles in place, using hand tools and power equipment as needed.
- Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings, using hand and power cutting tools.
- Instruct apprentices and assist in supervising other workers.
- Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles, and repair grout joints as needed.
- Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs.
- Estimate costs and materials for tile installation projects.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in tile setting or a related field.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- Attention to detail and hand-eye coordination to ensure accurate tile placement.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a large workload and overtime requirements.
