Tile Setter

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at Trusser Construction. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tiles in various settings, including residential and commercial projects.
Responsibilities:- Prepare surfaces for tile installation, including measuring, cutting, and fitting tiles around obstacles and openings.
- Mix, apply, and spread adhesives, mortars, and grouts to ensure a strong and durable bond.
- Set tiles in place, using hand tools and power tools as needed, to achieve a level and plumb installation.
- Cut and fit tiles around edges, corners, and other areas where tiles meet.
- Inspect and test tile installations to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, electricians, and plumbers, to ensure a smooth and efficient installation process.
- Document and report any issues or concerns related to tile installations.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in tile setting or a related field.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Physical stamina to lift and maneuver heavy materials and equipment.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
As a Tile Setter, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment, with frequent exposure to dust, noise, and other hazards. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
