Tile Setter

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at Trusser Construction. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tiles in various locations.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare surfaces for tile installation, including measuring, marking, and cleaning.
- Mix and apply adhesives, mortars, and grouts to ensure a strong bond between tiles and surfaces.
- Set tiles in place, using hand tools and power equipment to ensure precise cuts and fits.
- Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings, using hand and power cutting tools.
- Install tile strips and mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs.
- Supervise other workers and instruct apprentices in tile installation techniques.
- Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles, and repair grout joints as needed.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in tile installation.
- Ability to work at heights, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a large workload and overtime requirements.
