Senior Business Solutions Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Solutions Analyst to join our team at OTIP (Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan). As a key member of our Business Solutions team, you will play a critical role in identifying and describing business needs, providing business analysis expertise, and leading the evaluation of current and future state business processes.
Key Responsibilities- Business Analysis Expertise
- Provide business analysis expertise in various business process and system integrations across the organization.
- Engage with stakeholders to identify and describe business needs in terms of process and business requirements.
- Examine business needs and goals, and capture and assess requirements, process and business problems.
- Propose solutions and recommendations that improve existing business processes and promote effective and appropriate system solutions.
- Lead the evaluation of current state and future state business processes, perform gap analysis, and develop/implement process improvement solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to determine project scope, vision, cost benefit analysis, risk factors, and develop detailed solutions, estimates, and project plans.
- Translate conceptual business requirements into a clear, comprehensible, simplified manner that is comprehensible to all stakeholders.
- Document business requirements, including creation of process models, maps, workflows, and diagrams.
- Follow organizational standards to maintain quality of service and confidentiality.
- Develop practices and processes to ensure adherence to quality standards, change management, and release management processes.
- Analyze and execute reporting metrics and provide recommendations/requirements/solutions to improve business intelligence to support management decisions.
- Provide technical leadership to junior team members and perform other duties within the Business Analyst function, as assigned.
- Education and Experience
- A university degree, college diploma, or certification in a related field with advanced knowledge of best practices employed by the IIBA and BABOK.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in business reporting, business analysis, process design, and testing.
- High level of organizational ability with project management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets and present findings to enable effective business solutions.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Experience with the Microsoft 365 suite of products, including SharePoint, Project, Power Automate.
- Experience working on multiple projects in parallel.
- Knowledge of the Educational, Insurance, Financial, and/or Call Centre Industries.
