Senior Clinical Nurse Leader

About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Clinical Nurse Leader to join our team at Edgewood Health Network Inc. As a key member of our Leadership Team, you will be responsible for providing oversight to all nursing staff and ensuring that patient care meets the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and Nurse Practitioners
- Monitor patients' health condition and respond to changes in status
- Maintain accurate documentation according to EHN Canada and Documentation Practice Standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and families
- Oversee and delegate tasks to other nursing staff, as appropriate
- Assist with nursing education, training, and mentoring of new nursing staff
- Investigate, report, and address any patient-related incidents, escalating as required
- Provide guidance and mentorship to other nursing staff
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
- Function as a liaison between nursing staff and management
- Current registration, in good standing with the College of Registered Nurses
- Holds a BScN
- BLS & CPR trained
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, practice standards, and best practice guidelines as outlined by the College of Nurses
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience preferred with experience in addictions and mental health
- Strong clinical assessment, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with electronic medical records preferred
- Excellent organizational skills
