Provincial Medical Director, Psychiatry Leadership Position
BC Cancer is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to lead our Psychiatry and Psychosocial Oncology team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and vision for the clinical, educational, and research activities of Psychiatry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and outcomes
- Lead the development of educational programs and materials for psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals
- Collaborate with other leaders to advance the goals of the psychosocial oncology team
- Provide expert support to team members and multidisciplinary teams
- Represent BC Cancer on committees and in other connections with organizations
Requirements:
- Eligibility for provisional or full licensure with CPSBC
- Fellowship in Psychiatry with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or equivalent
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada
