Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and sort emergency calls using classification protocols and procedures.
  • Work in a highly technological environment, collaborating with paramedics and other emergency partners to respond to emergency situations.
  • Accompany callers to provide emergency care and support while waiting for emergency resources.
  • Assign the appropriate vehicle to the intervention site and direct it to the hospital center best suited for the patient's condition.
  • Participate in the deployment of emergency vehicles to minimize response times and ensure efficient emergency services.
Requirements
  • You must be empathetic, motivated by mutual aid, and recognized for excellent customer service.
  • You should be responsible, resilient, and able to solve problems effectively.
  • You must be calm and clear, even in high-stress, multitasking environments.
  • You should have a high school diploma or equivalent, and postsecondary studies in social work, public safety, psychology, or a related field are an asset.
  • You must have at least one year of experience in customer service, emergency communications, public safety, transport dispatch, or the healthcare sector.
  • You should have a perfect command of French and English (oral and written).
Working Conditions and Compensation
  • As an Emergency Medical Dispatcher at Corporation Urgences Santé, you will enjoy a stimulating professional environment and a range of benefits, including evening, night, and weekend premiums, life insurance, health insurance, and salary insurance plans.
  • You will also receive a variable salary between $23.37 and $33.78 per hour, depending on recognized experience.
