Position Overview:

TCL North America is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Director to drive sales growth and market share in the Canadian consumer electronics market.

The Role:

This role will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and increase market share. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of driving sales growth, managing key accounts, and building strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop short- and long-term sales strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Sales Forecasting: Conduct weekly and daily sales forecasts and account reviews to ensure accurate predictions and timely reporting.
  • Achieving Shelf Share Goals: Drive shelf share achievements during annual assortment summits for each account.
  • Customer Engagement: Lead or participate in weekly/bi-weekly CPFR calls with customers and business planning teams to ensure collaborative planning and forecasting.
  • Budget Management: Manage assigned budgets while optimizing revenue and controlling costs.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate annual vendor program agreements for each account, tracking associated expenditures and forecasting outcomes.
  • Risk Management: Monitor and manage financial risks related to customer deductions and offsets.
  • Brand Representation: Ensure the execution of organization-wide programs and events, representing TCL as a leading consumer electronics brand.
  • Executive Relationship Management: Manage executive relationships with key regional accounts, overseeing metrics such as inventory levels, turnover, contracts, and driving sales through regular business reviews.
  • Online Portal Liaison: Serve as the primary contact for customer-related online portal activities.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 7 years of sales experience at key regional and/or national accounts
  • 40-50% travel to accounts, trade shows, trainings, summits and corporate meetings
  • Efficient in Microsoft Teams, Outlook and Office
  • HEAVY experience creating, evaluating, and analyzing customer forecast is a must
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or related field or equivalent experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong negotiation and client management skills. High energy, passionate and articulate.
  • Analytical, problem solver, collaborative, strategic, results-oriented
  • Proven track record of efficiently maintaining and growing customer relationships
  • Ability to interact at all levels within customer's organization to increase shelf-share and drive increased business.
  • Ability to keep up with a fast-paced environment

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $125,000-$150,000 per year, plus bonus pay. Our benefits package includes extended health care, paid time off, and RRSP match.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, with hybrid remote work options available. The expected start date is November 11th, 2024, and the work location is Markham, ON.
