Commercial Banking Executive with Expertise in Credit Risk Management

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager Credit Execution to join our Commercial Banking team in Western Canada.
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with expertise in credit risk management to lead our credit underwriting team and play a key role in growing our portfolio of clients in Western Canada.
As Senior Manager Credit Execution, you will be responsible for analyzing and mitigating credit risk, developing and implementing credit policies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will also lead a team of underwriters and provide coaching and mentoring to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.

Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of underwriters and provide coaching and mentoring to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
- Analyze and mitigate credit risk, developing and implementing credit policies and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders, including commercial account managers, associate vice presidents, and credit risk management.
- Manage and monitor the loan portfolio to ensure alignment with the bank's established parameters.
- Work with account representatives and back-office staff to ensure required conditions are met prior to funding.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, economics, finance or a related field.
- 10+ years of related commercial banking experience.
- Experience building, developing and leading a team of high performing credit underwriting professionals.
- Exceptional commercial credit analysis skills, and the ability to creatively problem solve.
- Clear, succinct and persuasive credit writing capabilities.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to blend strong technical knowledge with sound business judgement.
