We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our Regina team at Equest. This dynamic role is a key stakeholder to multiple mill Superintendents, General Supervisors, and all first line leaders, requiring exceptional collaboration skills and a proven ability to build strong productive relationships across the business.

Job Summary

This Human Resources Business Partner position is responsible for developing a strong HR Business Partner relationship with the operations team, ensuring the HR function's priorities and efforts are customer-centric and aligned to the execution of the business strategy.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the business to develop a strong HR Business Partner relationship with the operations team.
  • Ensure the facility is developing and maintaining a robust and sustainable talent pipeline around technical positions.
  • Develop, manage, and enhance various training and development programs as assigned.
  • Provide consultative support to management for the consistent and appropriate application of policies and procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational development, management, or a related field.
  • Designation of CPHR or IPMA (International Personal Management Association).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Human Resources Business Partner within a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build a strong human resources business partnership with the operations team.
  • Experience administering Labour Relations activities including collective agreement administration, grievance and issue management, collective bargaining, union/management relations, performance management, and conflict resolution processes.
