Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Assistant to provide exceptional support to the Chair of the Board at Royal Bank of Canada. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, supporting the Chair and the Corporate Secretary's Department in the coordination and execution of Board and Committee matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level administrative support to the Chair of the Board, including calendar management, preparation of confidential materials and correspondence, travel arrangements, and expense management.
  • Manage all requests to the Board Chair and directors for internal and external meetings, speaking engagements, and media interviews.
  • Assist with speaking engagements, preparation of speeches, and other prepared remarks, providing input and advice to the Chair, Corporate Communications, and event hosts.
  • Manage RBC-related Board of Directors activities and logistics, including scheduling of onboarding sessions, recruitment interviews, meetings with GE, subsidiary counterparts, stakeholders, and regulators.
  • Manage all aspects of Board of Directors social events, retirement events, and dinners, including setting agendas, sourcing vendors, and logistical and staffing requirements.
  • Manage all logistics for in-person Board and Committee meetings, including liaising with executive dining, booking travel and accommodation, and ensuring appropriate IT capability and support.
  • Responsible for routine correspondence to the Board of Directors on behalf of the Corporate Secretary's Department.
Requirements
  • Bilingual (English and French)
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral)
  • Minimum 7 – 10 years' experience
  • University degree or diploma in business or administrative studies
  • Strong MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel technical skills
