Resident Care Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Care Aide to join our team at AgeCare Cariboo Place. As a key member of our care team, you will provide high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Responsibilities:- Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, as well as light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Transport residents in wheelchairs or stretchers, and assist with mobility and transfers
- Collect specimens and administer first aid in emergency situations
- Provide companionship and social interaction to residents, promoting a sense of community and belonging
- College diploma or equivalent in a related field, such as healthcare or social services
- Experience working in a healthcare or social services setting, preferably in a long-term care facility
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
