Territory Sales Manager

As a Territory Sales Manager with SquarePet Nutrition, you will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed sales targets in your designated territory. This role requires a vibrant personality to take our business in Western Canada to the next level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed sales targets in your designated territory.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with pet specialty retailers, veterinarians, and distributors.
- Conduct in-person meetings and engaging presentations to showcase the benefits of our pet nutrition products.
- Identify new business opportunities, prospect potential customers, and generate leads through networking, referrals, and industry events.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering ongoing support and training to our partners.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market insights, and competitor activities to continuously adapt and improve our sales strategies.
- Utilize Salesforce or other CRM tools to track sales activities, pipeline, and customer interactions.
- Deliver compelling sales presentations and negotiate contracts with customers.
- Provide leadership and guidance to sales team members, if applicable.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of success in outside sales, running a large geography, preferably in the pet industry or scientific / health related fields.
- Passion for pets and a genuine belief in the power of holistic pet nutrition.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with customers and accounts at all levels.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel within your assigned territory to nurture relationships and expand our customer base.
- Knowledge of pet nutrition, dietary requirements, and industry trends is a plus.
- Ability to learn and easily convey technical scientific information.
