About the Role

The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for actively seeking out and engaging customer prospects and driving sales growth for MediPharm Labs.

This individual will use self-motivation and interpersonal skills to develop relationships with current and prospective customers within the Canadian legal cannabis industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Spending the majority of time on the road, the Territory Sales Manager will present, promote, and sell MediPharm Labs' portfolio of brands to retailers.
  • Providing product education to retailers is also a key aspect of this role.
  • Establishing, developing, and maintaining strong customer relationships with retailers across the assigned territory is crucial to success.
  • The Territory Sales Manager will reach out to customer leads through cold calling and consistently pre-plan visits for selling opportunities.
  • Achieving agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes on schedule is essential to the role.
  • Staying up-to-date on industry-related trends, practices, and events is vital.
  • The Territory Sales Manager will support the development of any sales materials and create brand awareness and community engagement within the given territory.
  • Establishing new opportunities to promote MediPharm Labs' portfolio of brands within the confined regulations is also a key responsibility.
  • The Territory Sales Manager will analyze the territory's potential, track activity, and submit results reports on a regular basis to management.
  • Resolving customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, collaborating with, and making recommendations to management is also a key aspect of the role.
  • Collaborating with management in planning sales activities and setting goals for the assigned territory is crucial to success.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience (2-4 years) in sales, preferably within the cannabis, beverage alcohol, or tobacco industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an emphasis on selling, communication, and negotiation are essential.
  • Highly motivated, result-driven individuals with excellent self-management and organizational skills are ideal for this role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
  • Knowledge of regulations as it pertains to selling cannabis in British Columbia is vital.
  • A valid Driver's Licence and vehicle are a must, as travelling is required.
  • A Bachelor of Commerce degree or equivalent is preferred.
