Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled Clinical Supervisor to join our team at ParaMed Home Health Care. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting PSWs and HSWs in delivering high-quality care to clients in their communities.



About the Role


The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse and possess strong leadership and problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for ensuring that clinical practices comply with legislated standards and company policies.



Responsibilities



  • Supervise and support PSWs and HSWs to ensure safe and quality care delivery
  • Respond to concerns from community staff, patients/families, and team members
  • Provide ongoing leadership through regular meetings and one-on-ones
  • Initiate patient safety incident investigations and documentation
  • Collaborate with nursing team members on clinical documentation and submission requirements
  • Engage patients in problem-solving using a collaborative approach
  • Maintain knowledge, skills, and attitudes to provide safe and effective service


Requirements



  • Current RN or RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a practicing Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse
  • Comprehensive patient health assessment skills
  • Proven experience leading and managing a team
  • Knowledge of clinical documentation standards and practice guidelines
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and teaching skills
  • Commitment to professional development in clinical practice
  • Effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Able to provide a current, clear Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS)
  • C.N.A. Certification as a Community Health Nurse (CCHN(C)) is considered an asset
