Executive Director, Risk and Compliance Officer

Cowan Insurance Group seeks an experienced Executive Director to lead its risk and compliance functions.
As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive risk management strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing risk and compliance programs, with expertise in areas such as governance, regulatory affairs, and industry standards.

A competitive salary of $120,000 per annum, plus benefits, reflects the importance of this role in ensuring the company remains compliant and resilient in an ever-changing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective risk management strategies across all aspects of the business
- Maintain awareness of changing regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks
- Liaise with external partners and stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Provide guidance and support to employees on risk management best practices
- Analyse complex data sets to inform risk-based decision-making
Requirements:
Degree in Law, Business Administration or related fieldMinimum 5 years' experience in risk management or complianceProven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneouslyExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentAbout Cowan Insurance Group:
