Director of Compliance and Quality Assurance

Cowan Insurance Group is seeking a skilled professional to lead our compliance and quality assurance efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the company adheres to legal, regulatory, and standards compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain an enterprise risk management program to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks.
  • Ensure relevant internal company policies are in place to support compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Audit business contracts to ensure compliance and records are accurately maintained.
  • Regularly assess company operations to identify compliance risks.
  • Oversee business audits to identify potential noncompliance situations.
  • Communicate with employees to ensure awareness of their responsibilities in complying with both internal and external laws and regulations.
  • Support information security programs and initiatives.
  • Ensure regulatory and legislative changes are implemented effectively.
  • Monitor and assess E&O potential claims.
  • Ensure business continuity plans and programs are in place.
  • Ensure all corporate and individual licensing is current and valid.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 10 years or more of risk management experience.
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks and audit standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate well with others.
