Environmental Remediation Project Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled Environmental Remediation Project Coordinator to join our team at WSP Canada. In this position, you will oversee the management of risks and the closure processes for contaminated sites. Your primary responsibilities will involve supervising field operations related to the assessment, investigation, and remediation of sites affected by hazardous materials, along with the preparation of detailed technical documentation. Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Lead project teams by preparing proposals, scheduling personnel, and managing project budgets.
  • Draft reports and provide recommendations based on project findings.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while collaborating effectively with team members.
  • Mentor junior staff and support their professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in soil and groundwater sampling techniques.
  • A minimum of 8 years of project management experience within a consulting framework.
  • Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Preferred: P.Eng. or P.Geo. designation.
  • Must possess a valid Canadian driver's license.
