Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team on a contract basis. As a key member of the payroll team, you will be responsible for processing various weekly and biweekly payrolls for plants and offices across Canada and the US.

About the Role
  • Process payroll for over 1,500 employees (union and non-union)
  • Upload / enter data and verify using audit reports
  • Update and maintain pay information received from Human Resources
  • Update and maintain features within the Payroll System
  • Investigate and respond to pay queries from managers and staff
  • Generate regular, year-end and ad hoc reports
  • Assist with: account reconciliations, garnishments, ROE's
Key Qualifications
  • 2 - 5 years' experience in payroll processing
  • Knowledge of Canadian / US Labour standards an asset
  • Experience in a unionized, multi-facility environment
  • Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills
  • Bilingual in French and English would be an asset
  • Experience in Ceridian Dayforce or equivalent HRIS system
  • Proficient in Excel
  • PCP / Payroll Administrator Certificate or equivalent work experience
