The Island Health Division of Neurology invites applications from enthusiastic candidates to join a group of experienced neurologists.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop a subspecialty Neurology Service in one of three areas: Epilepsy, Headache, and Cognitive Neurology. This will complement the current Stroke, MS, Movement Disorders, Neurophysiology, and Neuro-Ophthalmology Services.

Candidates will participate in inpatient and outpatient care while enjoying a balance of work and life in this dynamic community. Opportunities to provide medical education with University affiliation are part of this engaging practice environment.

The successful candidate will hold Royal College certification, be eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC, and demonstrate a commitment to providing community-based stroke care.

Nanaimo Regional General Hospital offers services to an immediate population of 125,000 and a secondary referral population of well over 350,000. Hospital-based services include EEG, EMG, a rehabilitation inpatient unit, CT, and MRI.

Salary: $250,000 - $300,000 per year, depending on experience
