Job Title: Laboratory Analyst

About the Job: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Combined Technologist to join our team at Island Health.

Job Description: In accordance with Island Health's Vision, Purpose, and Values, patient safety is a top priority. As a Laboratory Combined Technologist, you will receive and complete requisitions, forms, and reports; monitor patients; perform general imaging procedures, including archiving acquired images; carry out routine Laboratory and ECG testing; utilize computerized patient data systems; and prepare and monitor supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and complete requisitions, forms, and reports in a timely manner
  • Monitor patients and perform general imaging procedures, including archiving acquired images
  • Carry out routine Laboratory and ECG testing as qualified
  • Utilize computerized patient data systems to manage patient information
  • Prepare and monitor supplies and equipment to ensure optimal functionality

Qualifications and Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have graduated from a recognized combined Laboratory/Medical Radiography Technician Program and have one year of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Skills and Abilities: The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary health care team, and be able to problem-solve and prioritize tasks effectively.

Salary: This position offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
