Lead Pharmaceutical Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Pharmaceutical Care Specialist to join our team at Island Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide clinical pharmacy services and pharmaceutical care to patients in accordance with our vision, purpose, and values.
Responsibilities- Under the supervision of the Site and/or Clinical Coordinator, provide clinical pharmacy services and pharmaceutical care for the majority of the time.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, other health practitioners, patients, and family members to identify and resolve drug therapy problems.
- Apply clinical knowledge to make sound decisions with minimal supervision and prioritize workload effectively.
- Licensed by, or eligible for licensing by the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.
- Completion of an Accredited Pharmacy Residency or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, and collaboration. You will be working in a fast-paced environment and must be able to adapt quickly to changing situations.
Salary RangeThe salary range for this position is approximately $120,000 to $150,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
