This Surgical Care Nurse Specialist role functions as an experienced healthcare professional within a multidisciplinary team, assessing, planning, providing, and evaluating nursing care for assigned patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality patient care utilizing the nursing process and adhering to standards set by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of care, promoting effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams, fostering a supportive environment that prioritizes patient needs.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in surgical or ambulatory care nursing, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
  • Basic Life Support certification, Level C.
  • Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
