Senior Human Resources Generalist

About the RoleWe are seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Toronto, reporting to the Human Resources Director. As a trusted business partner, you will be responsible for executing the organization's HR strategy, key projects, and initiatives, including employee engagement, performance management, and recruitment.
This is a hybrid role, requiring on-site presence at least 2 days a week. Array provides full PPE to all employees and has implemented recommended health guidelines, including social distancing measures.
Key Responsibilities- Implement human resources programs and services within our Toronto operations, exploring opportunities to add value and ensure compliance with employment standards.
- Own and spearhead special projects from end-to-end, setting and meeting deliverables and timelines.
- Build relationships with operational leadership and employees, fostering an open-door policy and approachable manner to assist with and solve HR issues.
- Be the subject matter expert on human resources processes, programs, and policies, providing guidance and expertise to operations management and employees.
- Manage employee issues, investigating and resolving complaints, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, and counseling management where appropriate.
- 3+ years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a manufacturing environment with operations, production, and distribution experience.
- Extensive employee relations experience, with a track record of providing HR advice and solutions to leaders and individuals on employee and organizational issues.
- Hands-on HR knowledge, including operations, employee engagement, performance management, change management, career development, compensation, employment law, and other compliance matters.
- Collaboration skills, with outstanding verbal, written, and presentation abilities, and the ability to influence decisions and implement processes.
- Analytical mindset, with evidence-based decision-making abilities, and the ability to research and analyze data, leverage available resources, and present solutions.
- Drive, with a willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done, and the ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical skills, with proficiency in MS Office, advanced Excel skills, and experience using an HRIS, preferably having been part of an HRIS implementation.
