About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Toronto. As a trusted business partner to operational leadership, you will be responsible for executing the organization's HR strategy, key projects, and initiatives. This includes employee engagement, performance management, and recruitment.

This is a hybrid role, with the need to be on-site at least 2 days a week. We provide full PPE to all employees and have implemented recommended health guidelines, including social distancing measures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement human resources programs and provide HR services within our Toronto operations.
  • Own and spearhead special projects from end-to-end, setting and meeting deliverables and timelines.
  • Build relationships with employees and business leaders to understand their specific resourcing needs and provide guidance and expertise on interpreting and implementing human resources processes, programs, and policies.
  • Be the subject matter expert on human resources processes, programs, and policies and provide guidance and expertise to employees and business leaders.
  • Manage employee issues and investigate and resolve employee complaints, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources working as a People Operations/HR Generalist or HRBP.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment that includes operations, production, and distribution.
  • Extensive employee relations experience and a track record of providing HR advice and solutions to leaders and individuals on employee and organizational issues.
  • Expertise in operations, employee engagement, performance management, change management, career development, compensation, employment law, and other compliance matters.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation abilities and the ability to influence decisions and implement processes.
  • Evidence-based decision-making abilities and the ability to research and analyze data and present solutions.
  • Proficient in MS Office with advanced Excel skills and experience using an HRIS.
