Disability Program Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Disability Manager to join our team at Magna, a global mobility technology company.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work with our manufacturing plants to develop, administer, and manage WSIB and non-occupational disability programs. In this capacity, you will ensure illness-related absences are managed effectively, timely, and cost-effectively through new and existing occupation injury management (WSIB), non-occupational disability management, and absence management programs.
Your Responsibilities- Conduct claims audits and provide recommendations for improved performance and efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze performance reports for effective disability management protocols.
- Review WSIB statements for costly claims and collaborate with HSE Coordinators at plants.
- Liaise with WSIB and WSPS, and present statistical information to plants and Corporate Health and Safety team.
- Deliver training, advice, and claims management assistance, and maintain a comprehensive disability management manual.
- Prepare written submissions for WSIB Appeals & Tribunal cases and present at oral hearings both virtually and in-person when necessary.
- Assist with WSIB Return to Work specialist meetings and provide support on-site.
- 4+ years of experience in case management of WSIB and non-occupational claims.
- 1+ year of experience managing disability management programs in a multi-site company.
- Mentoring and training experience.
- Preferred qualifications: university degree and/or professional designation (COHN, OT Reg, NIDMAR).
- Extensive knowledge of WSIB Operational Policies and Procedures and relevant legislation.
- Strong communication, decision-making, and multitasking skills with ability to work independently.
We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, plus benefits including hybrid work policy, wellness programs, on-site cafeteria, and access to private park for employees and their families.
