Dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Required for Part-Time Position

Lethbridge School Division is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team on a part-time basis. This role will provide support to schools and assessment needs, promoting the success of all children and students from Early Education to grade 12.

About the Role

This part-time opportunity will offer flexible hours, with a minimum of 4 hours and up to 35 hours per week, depending on the candidate's availability and the division's needs. The working hours will be between 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday and 8:00 am - 2:00 pm on Fridays.

Key Responsibilities
  • To deliver a continuum of support within the division's Response to Instruction and Intervention framework (RTI2)
  • To provide universal strategies to support all students in inclusive classrooms
  • To facilitate, through play, the development of age-appropriate skills
  • To provide student-specific assessment and therapeutic programming based on a referral system
  • To administer, score, and interpret standardized assessments
  • To complete assessment and treatment reports and year-end summaries
  • To provide recommendations for universal, targeted, and specialized services based on data gathered
  • To collaborate with other therapists/specialists to support student development
  • To participate as a member of the Learning Team to develop, facilitate, and monitor student program plans and successful transitions
Requirements
  • A degree in a recognized program in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Registration with Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA)
  • Eligibility for certification with Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC)
  • Experience working in an educational setting is preferred
  • Proof of Education and Certification is required
  • A valid Class 5 driver's license

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, based on the title, job description, and location.
