Lethbridge School Division seeks a dynamic and self-motivated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a casual Speech Language Pathologist, you will primarily support school and assessment needs to promote the success of all children and students from Early Education to grade 12.

We are looking for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist who is able to establish rapport with students, families, staff, and community partners. You should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to maintain effective working relationships with division and school teams.

The ideal candidate will possess strong assessment and problem-solving skills, expertise in facilitating professional learning for staff, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other therapists and specialists.

As a Speech Language Pathologist at Lethbridge School Division, you will deliver a continuum of support within our Response to Instruction and Intervention framework (RTI2). This includes providing universal strategies to support all students in inclusive classrooms, facilitating student-specific assessment and therapeutic programming, and administering standardized assessments.

Additional responsibilities include collaborating with other therapists/specialists to support student development, participating as a member of the Learning Team to develop and monitor student program plans, and providing recommendations for augmentative or alternative communication systems.

Key qualifications for this position include a degree in a recognized program in Speech-Language Pathology, registration with Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA), and eligibility for certification with the Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC). Experience working in an educational setting is preferred.

In order to ensure a safe and secure working environment, successful candidates must provide a police information check, intervention record check, and proof of photo identification.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.
