Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Speech Language Pathologist to join our multi-disciplinary team. As a key member of our Response to Instruction and Intervention framework (RTI2), you will play a vital role in addressing barriers to participation and learning, promoting student success, and providing expert support to students, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Support Services: Provide a continuum of support within RTI2, delivering universal strategies to support all students in inclusive classrooms, facilitating age-appropriate skills development through play, and offering student-specific assessment and therapeutic programming based on referrals.
  • Assessment and Programming: Administer, score, and interpret standardized assessments; complete assessment and treatment reports and year-end summaries; and provide recommendations for universal, targeted, and specialized services based on data gathered.
  • Collaboration and Professional Learning: Collaborate with other therapists and specialists, participate in Learning Team meetings to develop, facilitate, and monitor student program plans and successful transitions, and facilitate professional learning opportunities for school teams in speech and language areas.
Requirements
  • Degree in a recognized program in Speech-Language Pathology;
  • Registration with Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA);
  • Eligibility for certification with Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC);
  • Experience working in an educational setting is preferred;
  • Proof of education and certification required, including Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) for international education qualifications;
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable vehicle.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this 1.00 FTE position is $67,400 - $92,800, plus vacation pay, depending on education and experience.
