Cardiac Sonographer Specialist

As a Cardiac Sonographer with Nova Scotia Health Authority, you will play a vital role in assisting physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with heart and blood vessel conditions. Using non-invasive cardiovascular technology equipment, you will work alongside healthcare professionals to assess patients and their conditions. Your expertise will be essential in performing Echo ultrasound examinations, adhering to departmental standards and techniques.
About YouWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Sonographer to join our team. To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Graduated from an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound
- Sonography Canada certification
- Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
- Current BLS certification
- A minimum of one year clinical experience, preferably in a tertiary care setting
- Experience in Adult Congenital Heart Disease, TEE, Dobutamine Stress Echo, Exercise Stress Echo, and Research Echo
- Proficiency in Philips IE 33, Epiq 7, and Xcelera Workstations, as well as General Electric Vivid E95
- Competencies in other languages, with French being an asset

Hours- This is a long assignment full-time position, requiring 75 hours biweekly
- The assignment is approximately 12 months
- Shift work is required, including evenings, nights, and weekends
The hourly rate for this position is $34.24 - $39.96, with the possibility of a Market Adjustment of approximately $0.23 biweekly. Successful candidates may also be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
