As a Cardiac Sonographer with Nova Scotia Health Authority, you will play a vital role in assisting physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with heart and blood vessel conditions. Using non-invasive cardiovascular technology equipment, you will work alongside healthcare professionals to assess patients and their conditions. Your expertise will be essential in performing Echo ultrasound examinations to the highest standards.
About YouWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Sonographer to join our team. To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound
- Sonography Canada certification
- NSCMIRTP licensure
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum of one year clinical experience, preferably in a tertiary care setting
- Experience in Adult Congenital Heart Disease, TEE, Dobutamine Stress Echo, Exercise Stress Echo, and Research Echo
- Proficiency in Philips IE 33, Epiq 7, and Xcelera Workstations, as well as General Electric Vivid E95
- Competencies in other languages, with French being an asset

Hours- Long assignment full-time position, 75 hours biweekly
- Approximately 12 months
- Shift work required, including evenings, nights, and weekends
$34.24 - $39.96 hourly
This position is eligible for a Market Adjustment of approximately $0.23 biweekly. Eligibility for a Market Adjustment is reviewed periodically.
