Job Summary

The Supervisor, Diagnostic Imaging, plays a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care services in a fast-paced environment. As a key member of the patient service department, this individual is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Diagnostic Imaging department, ensuring that patient care services are delivered with safety, consistency, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and promote patient-centered care, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services.
  • Enable team members to coordinate and integrate services, encouraging ongoing performance improvement.
  • Maximize the use of available resources to facilitate efficient patient throughput and an optimal patient experience.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with the Director/Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, staff in other departments, and external referring partners.
  • Develop and maintain policy and procedure manuals, training materials, and continuous quality improvement initiatives in the Diagnostic Imaging department.

Requirements

  • Current active registration as a CMRT.
  • Undergraduate degree in Administration or Clinical discipline.
  • Current certificate of competence issued by the discipline's licensing body in Ontario (if applicable).
  • Must currently be a regulated health professional with current active registration as a CMRT.
  • Demonstrated experience in incremental leadership responsibilities in the field of healthcare.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of patient/staff scheduling systems, payroll systems, workload management systems.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy with competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
  • Flexible, organized, and self-directed within scope of responsibility; has initiative and independent judgment.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, communication, coaching skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, problem-solve with proven critical and creative thinking skills.
  • Evidence of ongoing education (workshops, seminars, etc.) and up-grading of skills and knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A team player with the ability to develop and maintain partnerships with multiple, diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to act as a change agent and manage projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop a healthy workplace including fair and equitable work practices.
  • Working knowledge of clinical/administrative computer software, including MS office.
