Job Summary

The Supervisor, Diagnostic Imaging, plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care services in a fast-paced environment. As a key member of the patient service department, this role is responsible for overseeing the coordination and integration of services to promote a patient-centered, timely, and efficient experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain high-quality patient care services, ensuring consistency and safety on a daily basis.
  • Enable team members to coordinate and integrate services, promoting ongoing performance improvement and maximizing resource utilization.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with the Director/Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, staff in other departments, and external referring partners.
  • Develop and update policy and procedure manuals, training materials, and continuous quality improvement initiatives in the Diagnostic Imaging department.

Requirements

  • Current active registration as a CMRT.
  • Undergraduate degree in Administration or Clinical discipline.
  • Current certificate of competence issued by the discipline's licensing body in Ontario (if applicable).
  • Must currently be a regulated health professional with current active registration as a CMRT.
  • Demonstrated experience in incremental leadership responsibilities in the field of healthcare.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of patient/staff scheduling systems, payroll systems, workload management systems.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy with competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
  • Flexible, organized, and self-directed within scope of responsibility; has initiative and independent judgment.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, communication, coaching skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, problem-solve with proven critical and creative thinking skills.
  • Evidence of ongoing education (workshops, seminars, etc.) and up-grading of skills and knowledge.
