Job Summary

The Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor at Michael Garron Hospital plays a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care services in a fast-paced environment. As a key member of the Diagnostic Imaging team, this individual is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the department, promoting a patient-centered approach, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient throughput and optimal patient experience.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote quality care and safety.
  • Maintain open communication with the Director/Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, staff in other departments, and external referring partners.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance patient care and staff satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to ensure the department remains current and compliant.

Requirements

  • Current active registration as a CMRT.
  • Undergraduate degree in Administration or Clinical discipline.
  • Current certificate of competence issued by the discipline's licensing body in Ontario (if applicable).
  • Demonstrated experience in incremental leadership responsibilities in the field of healthcare.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and think critically.
  • Flexibility, organization, and self-direction within scope of responsibility.
