Senior Production Engineer Position at Veren Inc.

Veren Inc. seeks a highly skilled Senior Production Engineer to lead our operations in Southeast Saskatchewan. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for executing various oil and gas-related projects and mentoring Engineers-In-Training. Your technical expertise will support ongoing field operations, subsurface repairs, artificial lift design, production optimizations, and new development planning within our properties.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Field Operations team to manage area responsibilities and ensure effective project execution.
  • Work closely with Calgary-based engineers and field-based development teams to facilitate well production and tie-in as soon as possible after drilling and completion.
  • Support the field operations team in production optimization activities on wells and identify production reactivation candidates and abandonment candidates.
  • Assist in identifying facility and pipeline requirements for current and future capital development and collaborate with Calgary-based engineers to define project scopes.
  • Contribute to facility optimization, rationalization, and other operating cost reduction initiatives.
  • Support Maintenance and Facilities teams during annual facilities turn-arounds.
  • Lead high-level projects within the Viewfield area and take ownership of their success.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Certified Engineering Technologist with relevant experience may also be considered.
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to work effectively at both the field and corporate levels.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
